Hotel Checkin Blanes
This holiday property sits at just 60 metres from the beautiful beach of S'abanell in Blanes, at the beginning of Costa Brava. Its guests will be just a 20-minute walk from the city centre, where they can find excellent shops and charming restaurants and bars. Those who are looking for little extra fun and excitement will be at a 10-minute drive from the coastal park of Pinya Rosa. But for some fun time for the whole family one shouldn't have to go anywhere else. The two swimming pools are perfect for escaping from the summer heat and the sun loungers around them are ideal for lazing around all day. The younger family members will have their very own pool and a playground where they can let the steam off. The grownups can also unwind in the hot tub or enjoy some friendly competition on the tennis court. The nearby beach also offers plenty of opportunities for water-based sports.

What do guests think about this lodging establishment?
The accommodation received mixed reviews. Positive feedback mentioned clean and well-maintained rooms, pleasant staff, and good food. However, there were concerns about limited food variety, early restaurant closures, the need to reserve parking in advance, and the hotel's age and room amenities. Some reviewers found the location close to the beach convenient, while others felt it was a bit far from the city center. Issues also included crowded dining areas and difficulty maintaining social distancing, long waits for elevators, and subpar buffet quality and replenishment. Overall, opinions differed on the quality and value for the price.

Hotel Boix Mar in Blanes was our holiday target for our Family Summer holiday 2016. We chose the hotel because of its fantastic central location, short walk from a long & spacious sandy beach and as we asked for a higher floor (and were given :-) ) we had a beautiful view to the large green tree area of campings & wonderful mountains where we could observe breath-taking sunset every evening from one side, and from our rooms on the other side of the hotel we had an all day sunny view to the sea. We liked the lovely hotelŽs garden, pools and all the nice & quiet holiday atmosphere all around. The one negative thing was a not large choice of food for dinners with almost no idea, and no vegetables for breakfasts (they were the same every morning without any fresh idea). Anyway, we enjoyed our holidays perfectly, every day we were blessed with fantastic sunny weather and in some moments we liked to stay for some days longer. Thank you Boix Mar & thank you Blanes :-)

The hotel was very well located close to lovely beach. It was clean. The rooms were comfortable and we had balcony overlooking tennis court which meant it was relatively quiet.
Our triple room was however a little small for myself and 2 teenagers being basically a double room with an additional bed squeezed in. However we did not spend much time in room so not an issue.
My only complaint was that the food was pretty dreadful - bland, international food. We had signed up to half board only because it seemed a very cheap additional cost but in reality we only had one meal there preferring to go to the small restaurants in the town in the evening.
However I would definitely stay there again as it was very nice but just not take up food option.javascript:emoticon(\':P\') - 5My opinion about this hotelAdrienn - Sep 16, 2008
We have been staying at the Hotel Boix Mar for eight nights.
And we were absolutely satisfied with the service and food.
The beach is only 2 minutes. And all the aminities e.g. supermarket, internet, bus station are located very close.
The room was cleaned every day and was given new towels.
Tv, radio, klima were in the room.
On Tuesday we ahd live music in the lounge (VERY ENJOYABLE) and on Friday salsa night. VERY GOOD entertainment.
The hotel is first of all for older people. We were with my boyfriends\'s parents. But we enjoyed both of us our stay.
The management and reception, waiting staff was very nice.
My opinion that the hotel is superb as a 3 stars resort.
The only problem what can happen everywhere that our neighbour were loud but the night porter sorted out the problem immediately after we called home at the reception desk.
